Nice old WA buck

LAST EDITED ON Nov-26-13 AT 08:06PM (MST)[p]After years of trying to kill a mature Black tail buck with several Multi-season tags and a even a trip to Northern Cali I finally was able to catch up to this old bruiser. I located what I presume to be him last year but was never able to see more than big rubs and tracks.

Congrats that is a real nice looking buck and rack. Is the color of those horns original? Or did you wipe them down with something for a nicer picture...color seems unusual....just wondering

nope that is the way the are. nothing but good western WA red alder and what ever else he has been rubbing on and a top coat of rain.

Pretty normal coastal blacktail antler color.
