HDR Fun

LAST EDITED ON Dec-20-11 AT 11:02AM (MST)[p]I can't wait to get back home to the red rocks of the Southwest, but I'm actually growing fond of the Texas Hill Country. I decided to head out to Guadalupe State Park yesterday to enjoy a day off. The river there has a mysterious, almost eerie feel to it, thanks to the slow moving water and large cypress trees. I thought the conditions were right for a little HDR photography. Enjoy.

Nice shots. The reflections of the cypress along the banks seem to offer lots of possibilities to explore in fall. I never went there when I lived in TX, wish I had now. There seems to be a cyan cast to the images though.

Where in Texas did you live? I'm still looking for new places to visit and photograph here. I do miss the red rocks from back home. You photograph that part of the world as well as anyone I have seen.

This looks much better ragarding the cyan.
I thought the area around Alpine was nice, but you would have to deal with private property. Big Bend NP should be a nice place to photograph, as would Guadalupe Mtn NP and Palo Duro Canyon.
I lived in Mathis near Corpus Christi from '80-91 before moving to Flagstaff.

Thanks. I shoot with the Sony a580 DSLR. Most of my landscape stuff is taken with either a Tamron 17-50mm or 10-24mm lens. I use other Sony and older Minolta lenses as well.
