both are nice cameras, the difference is the LCD screen on the 3200 is fixed to the camera, 5200 you can move. The 5200 has an HDR feature, while not true HDR done with bracketing its kind of a cool feature. Both are a cropped sensor and may not have the quality that a full frame would, but they add a little extra range for telephoto shots and are some what limited on the wide range shots with the crop factor. They are more of an entry level camera for someone looking to step into a DSLR without going broke. That being said, most cameras are only as good as the glass on the front of it..., i use the 3200 for wildlife quite often, and a full frame for portraits and etc..
