Seating Dies

Guys,

Need a little direction, I'm looking for a seating die that catches the bullet further down the bullet not on the tip of the bullet as most do. Any suggestions on manufactures or a place to start would be appreciated also any experience using this type of die would be helpful.

If you already have a set of dies that is in contact with the bullet tip, you can modify the die to where it will not touch the tip and damage it. You can use epoxy to form the seating plug to your bullet. You can also use a drill press or lathe to drill out the center, just 1/8 inch should do it, of the plug so it will make contact on the shoulder of the bullet and not contact the tip of the bullet.

RELH,

Appreciate your advice, I'm loading Hornady's Interlock bullet and the lead tip isn't always the same length, some more rounded, some more pointed, I want the Oglive the same distance from the lands consistently. I'll give your suggestion a try.

Thanks,
