Left Handed action

I have been following this site for years and finally decided to join. I've found a lot of good information here, especially in the gun forum.

I am a left-handed shooter and have custom builds in Remington and Ruger. For a while now, I've been wanting to build a .338-06 because we have the reloading set-up for it and like how the one we have performs. I would like to have it built from something other than what I currently have.

Do you guys know what actions would make a good build in that caliber? I was wandering if Winchester or Mauser has a left hand action??? I am mainly looking for a strong action to build from.
Thanks for your help.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-15-14 AT 00:12AM (MST)[p]Captain, if you want to cut to the chase on your build, look up Montana rifle co (MRC) http://www.montanarifleco.com/actions.html

All their actions come in right or left, and you could even order a barreled action in 338-06, I've shot a few of their barrels and they are good quality.

I believe you could get a post '64 lefty, but you will pay a premium and likely wait a long time to find one..and it wont be near the action as the MRC.You would also pay one of the FEW gunsmiths that specialize (Echols, think 15k+) in CRF actions to get a winny up to MRC quality..

Same as I recommend for most custom builds, if you arent already sitting on a donor, get an aftermarket thats already upgraded, and ready to build on..you are money and mostly, time ahead by doing so.
