I have recently purchased a 257 Weatherby and am wondering what type of bullets others shoot. I have shot accubonds out of my 30-378 for several years and they have always worked well. I'm leaning towards the 110 accubonds now, but have been reading a lot about how well the tsx perform out of the 257. Does the tsx come in anything heavier than 100 grain?

Thanks cahunter. Do you think the ten extra grains in the accubonds make much difference on deer sized game? I have also heard of bullets coming apart at close ranges out of the 257. Do you think the accubonds will have this problem?

Both bullets will hold up well. The Barnes probably better. I'd suggest shooting both and whichever is more accurate I'd run with. No wrong choice with either.
My dad shoots the 100ttsx and it's an absolute hammer on game.

I have shot both and currently shoot the 110 Accubonds. I have a max load of IMR 7828 ssc and have always had great results. I have tried the RE22 but thought it was a little temp sensitive. My velocity was almost identical with the IMR but i didn't have the variations due to temp as I did with the RE22. I have taken deer, lope and elk with the gun (elk with 115 barnes). I wish all of my guns were as easy to load as my .257.

Mine loves the 110 gr Accubonds and I've got a bunch of 1 shot kills with them on deer and antelope. Great performance and fun to shoot.
