Has anyone used it on Mule deer or elk. What load?

I haven't used mine on elk but I made it pretty rough on 3 bears and a big bodied whitetail with it this past year. 200 gr Nosler Partition at 3150 fps. I doubt there is an elk around that can hold one of those for long. Stick it in the chest and get out the skinning knife!

I have a newly acquired 8mmRemMag and just love shooting it! Mine is a used factory BDL bult in 1980 that I refinished myself and had accurized and muzzlebraked to tame recoil by my gunsmith.

Have to say this November will be the first hunt for elk with it and am reloading my own ammo for it since it is rare and quite expensive if you do find some. Mine likes the lighter 180-190gr bullets w/74gn 4350 at about 3100fps in a 24in barrel, can't wait to let it loose on an elk.

From all the research and forums its a real performer and can safely be used for dangerous game including brown bears in AK. Folks who have shot deer size game say its othing short of spectacular.
