I am hoping that some of you hand gun guys can recommend some manufactures of good quality night sights that are resasonibally priced. I don't want to purchase junk so hoping for so input from experienced shooters. We will usually be walking out with head lamps on. Will that effect the effeciency of the sights?

Thanks in advance.

Trijicon. Lots of imposters but you get what you pay for. Depending on the gun I want to say I sent my last Kimber slide to Yonkers New York and it was still under $150. Big difference is how long they will effectively "glow." The good ones are radioactive and will go 5 years strong up to ten. Some of the others might glow for ten minutes if you pre load them with a bright flashlight.

Thanks guys I will check both sights out. I have some night sights on these new Glock 20's that Glock installed for us directly from the factory. I have no idea the quality of these factory sights or the brand. We will try the factory installed night sights but I want to be ready to upgrade....thanks again for the input.

Since most of my patrol days were in a rural area where there is no street lights, I installed a set of Meprolight tritium night sights on my 1911 duty pistol. Those sights lasted just over 10 years before needing replacement. Brownell's carry the sights for many different models of firearms. They greatly increased accuracy & hitting your target at night time conditions.
