Looking at a Savage Axis Youth for my boy. Anyone have any experience with one of these? Reviews seem to be good for such an inexpensive rifle.

I have the regular axis in 223.
I really like it but to get it there I did the trigger job where you clip a little off the spring and I also reload for it. I'm not sure if factory ammo would have the same results but I've gotten sub MOA with the one I have.

Bought my niece one last summer in .243, she killed her first deer with it last fall. Trigger needs work but otherwise no complaints.
