C'mon,Don't tease us,Give us the lowdown!Those holes look mighty small.Like a 22-250 or 204Ruger.Are Ya goin Varmint huntin?

From his group net tally figures, looks like it's a .308 caliber cartridge. 200yd groups, yeah, i'll buy in that she's ready to roll! Nice! :)

Post up the 1000yd target and I will agree.

Cahunter has read a few of my posts. So here's the deal. I bought a Savage LR Hunter .300 WSM a couple of years ago from a friend. Great shooter right from the get go. I sent it back to a guy in Kansas this last year and had him do a few mods to it. Another friend of mine bought a small bullet making company back East and builds these new 207 gr bullets. They are getting really popular with the BR community so I thought I would try them in my gun. Couldn't hurt right? I couldn't believe how tight my groups got. Excited to send them down range a little bit further. I will post up some pictures when I get time to do that. Fun times when a good plan comes together.

I'm ready, target isn't. First shot is the lowest hole. Corrected and shot the next two. 950 yards. 200 grain Accubonds through a 3/8 inch cast iron water meter cover. mtmuley

The Water Company will not be too happy seeing their cover shot up.....might be costly to replace. Paper dinner throw away plates are cheaper....LOL

Most likely used the metal water meter target to hear the gong of the hit. Can you really see that bullet hole in a target at 1000yds. how powerful spotting scope you using to target practice like that?
))))------->

Yep marley, I have finally realized that. I used some other steel, then this cover with poor results. trophyhunter, I could actually see the hits with my 12 power scope. I don't have a good spotter, but it's on the list. mtmuley

what modifications did you do to that rifle? Curious to know what it weighs all rigged up?
