Rooting around and found these. My dad bought two revolvers on the same day. This was before I was born. I think I remember him talking about purchasing them around 1971.
 
So, they don't still come that way? Huh, who'd a figured!

I always thought they were cool boxes so i've saved mine as i suspect a lot of people have. I keep the original set or the different grips i've tried in the corresponding box as well.

My model 57, 41 mag came in one of those boxes in the 70's. Carried that 4 inch 41 mag on duty for several years before going to the 1911 45acp. Night qualification was a hoot with that revolver. High velocity 210 gr. HP gave out a 2 foot muzzle flame.
