Dedicated LR Rig...Sendero vs. Accumark - thoughts

I have been contemplating buying one of these (Sendero) for years - mainly just to say I have a true dedicated LR rifle and now I am really thinking about pulling the trigger. Are these rifle good to go out of the box or can I still expect to have to glass bed and work on the trigger? Any feedback good or bad to share? If I purchased one, I plan on going with either a 300 win or 300 rum.

My other thought is possibly a Weatherby Accumark - but I have read people having accuracy issues, plus the rifle is hundreds of dollars more than a Sendero. I would be looking at a 300 weatherby in this rifle.

Thoughts? The goal would be to eventually have a rifle with 1000 yard big game capabilitites (elk included) Even though I would never shoot at animal that far....At least not until I had a lot more practice in LR shooting and got the proper rig setup. (I'm currently comfortable to 500 yards max with my current big game rifles)

I have a Sendero in 7RM that I really enjoy shooting- I swapped the trigger out for a Timney and it was a huge improvement over the X Mark pro. Other than that, it's a bone stock rifle.

The Accumark is definitely a lot more money and to be honest, I haven't heard the best reports about them, especially for the price tag they carry.

If I were in the market, I'd look at the Rem 700 Long Range in 300 WM or 300 RUM. I've heard great reports about them and you'd save yourself a few hundred that could go towards optics. Just another option to consider.

The Sendero is a solid rifle though and definitely recommend it!

As with any factory rifle purchase, it's a roll of the dice if it's going to be a real tack-driver or not. You do have a real chance of the Sendero shooting really well since they put a little "extra" care into that rifle.
A new trigger will probably be in order since the pro mark is a dog, IMHO.
Remington is THE go-to rifle for custom and after-market parts and accessories and no doubt I'd stick with that brand. Lots of things you can do to that one to make it a real winner!

I purchased a Sendero about a year ago and love it! Ive changed the trigger in it and put a Vortex HSLR on it and its a tack driver! I would recommend the Sendero over the Acumark just my opinion.

Sendero in 300win or 300rum would be perfect. I dropped my Sendero into a greybull stock and it was a tack driver. I couldn't warm up to the palm swell and grip angle of the Sendero stock.

I shoot a accumark and absolutely love it. I know the senderos are great too. I think if you plan on having it to hike a lot with then I'd go accumark. But then again I'd go accumark anyways considering I'm getting quarter size holes at 250. I do know I love my 54 degree bolt though, especially in cold weather

To heavy... have you look at Fierce Rifles the Edge. I think Sportsman Warehouse is going to carry them. Good looking rifle looks like a Sako action?

IMO, the weatherby accumark is a fine rifle that can take hard hunting use, I have a 300wby myself but it doesn't like 180gr so I had to go to 165s in it to shrink the group. Plenty accurate with a 4x12 Leupold on it for some distance capability.

2f350s: Spend the money on additional licenses and HUNT more!
