Has anyone ever tried the loaded ammo from nosler? If so what type of accuracy did you find and what type of rifle was it?

Every rifle has a personality of it's own but here's my experience with then in two 280AI's and a 7mm mag (yes, different calibers than yours).

They don't shoot accurately enough for me and no where near to the potential of the rifles. I used 2-3 different powders and seating depths but nothing seemed to work right for me, my son or my brother. We sold our substantial remaining stock of them.

Some guys have had wonderful luck with them in their rifles of various cartridges and calibers but the 3 rifles we used didn't like them...so, you should try them and experiment a bit and see how they work for you and report back.

Thanks Zeke, the only thing that really intrigued me was the high bc on that bullet for wind bucking ability. The more i thought about it the less it seemed necessary considering Im a sub 400 yard guy, I think ill just stick to my regular old accubonds. The only thing I dont like about the accubond in noslers loaded ammo is the slow velocity (3100 fps). I feel like a regular old 270 would push a 140 that fast and I pay twice as much for ammo. Grouping is ok at around 1 - 1 1/4 groups. I just dont see the point in being so middle of the road velocity wise if the accuracy isnt phenomenal. Im very interested in the 140 barnes ttsx but there velocity just isnt there either in the loaded ammo. Im not set up to reload so i guess beggers cant be choosers. Thanks Zeke.

Doesn't hurt to buy a box and see how your rifle likes them. Nosler loaded ammo is pretty consistent and velocity is usually pretty good. Just curious what rifle and scope you shooting?

I haven't tried any LRAB's yet , but several of my rifles love the Nosler factory ammo . Give it a shot, you may be surprised.

Rifle is a FN winchester model 70 featherweight topped with a vortex viper 4x16x44. I currently shoot nosler trophy grade ammo with the 140 accubond with a muzzle velocity of 3100 in the 270 wsm. Grouping is decent at about 1 to 1 1/4 inch groups at 100. I might buy a box of the barnes vortex ammo with the 140 and see how it does.
