Winchester 70 trigger

Trying to adjust my trigger and watched a youtube video about. Pulled my gun apart and my trigger looks nothing like the one in the youtube video. Are the new win 70s using a different trigger?

Winchester calls in an adjustable trigger, new MOA trigger. It was sooooo heavy. Had to be close to 7 pounds maybe more. I took the scope out and minutely adjusted until the weight of the barreled action fired it. Went a smidge more and put it all back together. Should be around 4 pounds. I have a rem model 7 that has a custom trigger and had it tested, it breaks at around 2.75 pounds. It feels like you just touch the thing and it goes off. Really reinforces the whole don't touch the trigger until your ready ideal. One thing I didn't do was loctite the screw on the winny. Will super glue work, someone told me that would be fine but I'm hesitant.

I did the same thing to mine but found that it required totally decompressing the trigger spring. I ended up getting a replacement spring from Ernie the Gunsmith and now my pull is set at 3# with some compression on the spring. It just makes me feel a little safer having the spring somewhat compressed and taking an active part in the trigger mechanism rather than having a passive spring.

I used blue loctite. It was always a crisp trigger but the pull weight felt like a revolver. It feels better now but not as good as my model 7.

I'm assuming you are referring to the trigger return spring.
It SHOULD make you feel better... and safer since the function of the trigger depends on this spring for safe operation.

You are correct. Reference is to the trigger return spring.
