Thinking about investing in a muzzle loader any one have any expierence or thoughts on the CVA line? Good or Bad I'd like to hear !! Thanks

I've hunted Iowa late muzzy season since the early 90's every year so I've used many of them. In my straight up experience you could not give me a CVA , I've tried them sold them , tried them again and of course sold them. I always tried saving some money vrs paying for Thompson Centers. I've had hang fires , inconsistent groups , rear stock bolts come loose , and just nothing but trouble with CVA. I also forgot to mention I have a wife that hunts early muzzy every year and 3 kids that youth hunt muzzy , my guns get used a TON ! In the end I have two Thompson Center Omegas we shoot and not one complaint , they stay tight , group extremely tight , and fire every time ! I'm sure there are others out there that make a great muzzy but in my experience I won't trust my one shot to CVA.

It depends on where you live, I'm in Colorado we are a conical state making cva and tc fairly useless in my mind. In normal states that allow sabots a tc triumph or cva accura would be tough to beat, even a wolf would probably do you a fine job. If in a conical state white and Knight are the top dogs to be looking at.

Thanks, for your opinions, I'll do some more research before I invest. I'm in Wyoming but looking more towards the out of state hunting. Mainly Utah
