I think if I was looking for a 6.5 cm I would purchase an off the shelf brand rifle for substantially less money and probably no less bang.
Save most of your money for your Taxidermist.
Too many companies offer a good rifle for less than $700.00 and a few are good shooters at half that price.

I'm looking at the same. For the price, the weight savings on the rifle, tuned trigger, a non factory stock, nice recoil pad, and the accuracy, it's actually not a bad deal. I'm looking at that same exact rifle and caliber for just shooting at the range, whitetails. Maybe mule deer but I'm mixed on that.
I think Christensen got a bad reputation for what they used to do, not what they're doing now. They used to offer a service where they'd carbon wrap your barrel. Well if you carbon wrap a p.o.s., it's still a p.o.s. afterwards. Awful marketing and operational idea because of the risk you're taking on.

I had a Christensen rifle, or more like a shotgun years ago and it was a total POS. maybe they're better now,but only those who like it get screwed twice.
I just helped a buddy develop a load and sight in a new Kimber lightweight rifle. a tack driver and really light. if I didn't have my custom lightweights that's exactly what I'd be buying.
