Bought a new kimber mtn ascent in 6.5 creedmore.. I know the caliber is very accurate but I have put 2 different scopes on this rifle and it shoots all over the place.... not cheap scopes either 1 zeiss and a Leupold... it's not the glass... currently on its way back to Yonkers..... I am so disgusted with the rifle I would prefer just getting my money back...
Anyone else had experience with these rifles?

kimbers are great shooters once you put a lilja barrel on them......

Plenty of reviews I've come across show that you aren't the only one who's been bit by this new batch of kimber lemons. Sorry about your bad luck, and good luck making it a shooter or getting rid of it!

I have one in .300 wsm. I like it. It shoots better than I can shoot, meaning I don't practice enough. But it's sub moa.

A friend of mine sent his rifle back to Kimber and they were able to improve it significantly. Just an idea before you sell it at a loss or change out the barrel.

To the OP yes I had the same experience with my Kimber Montana 84M purchased in 2004. It started life as a 7mm08, awful accuracy, replaced scope, no improvement. I wasted several years blaming everything but the rifle. Finally sent it to Yonkers, and they gave me a choice of 243, 308 or 35 Rem. Great. I chose 308, and they replaced barrel. They never would tell me what was wrong with the original barrel but I got the distinct impression they were having trouble with 7mm08 and were not continuing production in that round. It shoots well now, and I generally like the gun, light and fun to shoot. Nevertheless, I think I've purchased my last Kimber.

For what it is worth, I have a friend with a Kimber 6.5 that shoots .5 MOA and he loves his.
Obviously you were not as lucky as he is. Hopefully they can solve the problem for you.
