DO MOST OF YOU GUYS USE A SLING ON YOUR BOW,.....I THOUGHT ABOUT GETTING ONE. DO THEY GET IN THE WAY OF SHOOTING???? THANKS..........YD.

I have the primos sling that goes over the cams and string. Its great for carrying around at 3D shoots or anywhere else that you don't need to shoot it.

I've seen a few at shoots that attach to the top and bottom of the riser and have a buckle that snaps on/off. You can shoot with them on, but they are pretty slick to take off. I don't know who makes them, but they'd be better than the one that I have.

I always take the sling off before I shoot. I have several different slings. H S Strut sling, Primos and a home made sling for hunting off horses. I took a sling off a carrying bag and cut it in half then sewed velcro on it so if things went bad on the horse it will pull apart. I sling it over my shoulder when I'm on a horse, not over my head......works great.

Yukon,
I second the balcom, there is nothing better. It is a small arm with a ball on it that mounts on your bow (usually the cable guard)and it comes with a shoulder strap that the arm hooks onto. I pitched the shoulder strap and tied a parachute cord loop onto my pack shoulder strap and hang the bow on that. A twist of your wrist and the bow is free to shoot with and nothing in your way. You will be very happy with it.
I have 2 styles that they make mounted on my Mathews bows. On the older Ultra max bow it is really small and slides over the end of the cable guard and locks on with a set screw. On the newer DXT model it has a longer arm on the bow sling that mounts to the framework of the shorter cable guard.
