String

I usually get one after the third year (season) of owning my bow. However I just bought a new Hoyt and had a custom first string put on it. The tech said its a lot better string than other strings out there and cost less than winners choice as well my last bow I would have had it three years and it was ineed of a new string.

We shoot Winners Choice and have them on the bows for three years now. We shoot as much as most and 60plus shots per day working up to hunting season. Keep it waxed and they last a long time. No stretch, no fray on servings, Well worth the $$$. Still not ready to consider changing the string just to change it because it still looks as good as new.

I change every year but I make my owne strings. Hunting for 4 months a year with my bow can be hard on strings. If your not using it as much and keep it clean and waxed you can get a few years out of them. Just keep an eye out for serving damage, peep rotation, and string fraying.
