I am a bow hunter and am looking for a release. Should i get a thumb release or just a finger release? What specific modal and brand you use?

It's all personal preference and what feels comfortable to you. From the question wording. Are you shooting a recurve? If your shoot'n a compound there are a ton of good releases on the market. You will need to put some on and try them out at an archery shop. We shoot compounds and like the Scott's " little goose" mechanical release and that is just us.

Agreed! Scott has great stuff that they stand by. I recently switched from True-Fire to a Scott Caliper and i love it. It is a little different design that the Little Goose but shoots similar. As mentioned above, its all about personal preference.
