Where do you all shoot during the winter months? Outside? Archery club/range?

I still hit the 12 ring!!! Lol sorry for the smart butt comment, but I could not resist!

Outside whenever humanly possible, I have never liked indoor shooting (but it still beats the pants off not shooting at all).

Got some local archery shops that you can shoot at and some movie programs you can shoot with animals and shows where you hit.

but I cant justify to pay to shoot my bow. I shoot in my dads 40x60 shop when its super windy/cold. I like to shoot out in the cold sometimes so I can practice in a real life element.

In my basement , I can get 19 yards out of it . I put a 4x8 sheet of 3/16 steel against the block wall just in case and shoot year round day or night .

We shoot out back lucky to have 20yd bail target set up. For longer distances we go to our club archery range shoot bails and hill 3D course.

I can shoot at Datus every day of the week if I want. I have access to the club 24/7/365. you can shoot out to 40 yards indoors if nobody else is there. you can shoot outside out to 80 yards. the cost is $160 a year for a family membership. BEST DEAL IN TOWN if you shoot a lot!!! Best indoor archery range!! You get one free league with that cost. I shoot a League on Wednesday.

My kids shoot a kids league at Datus with about 40-60 other kids on Friday. They shoot a spot league at Jakes or Full Draw on Thursday and they shoot spot tournaments and 3d tournaments almost every weekend during the winter. During the summer there are several outside leagues running. The best is probably timp range at the mouth of provo canyon.

Lots of archery going on all year long if you want to shoot a bow in Salt Lake and Utah County areas.

DATUS member and shareholder as well. It's very nice place regardless of your style of shooting / hunting.

Cheers,
Pete

Back yard, gives 19yds.

If I want to work on distance, I just drive out to the BLM (10mi) with a bag. But I like the convenience of the back yard. I figure form is form and either you are developing good habits or not; distance is just a different pin and in the mind.

Outside and year round on some BLM not too far from the house. I set up my own little range with marked distances and paths. I'm actually surprised I've never seen anyone using it. With January bowhunts, extended practice is essential.

Recently it has been warm enough and calm enough to shoot out side at all ranges.
A little hard to pull them out of the Glen Dale.

The West Elk Archers shoot a paper league every Wednesday night inside at the Rodeo Grounds.

3D once a month in a big room. 30 targets longest is 40.

Been to an indoor at Red Rock in Grand Junction once. Hoping to road trip to the Vernal shoot
March 1st.
