Just got my first bow, people are saying that first priority other than practicing should be a string stop to quiet down any bow, what do you think?

Go stand next to the target when someone else is shooting. The sound of the bow is secondary to the sound of the arrow in flight. anything you can quiet helps though.

Depends on what you purchased ..most quality bows have some type of string stop installed from the factory. If your bow doesn't have one then yes. Install a string stop and some string vibration dampeners. Hope you chose new technology small diameter arrows and 2" Blazer vanes in your setup. Get some small aero dynamic 11/8" cut on contact broadheads and you will be set. We use G5 Strikers they shoot same as field points past 70yds.

Good Hunt'n

You big *****:) not out in the open of course. I had a shed next to where my targets were. You could stand behind safely and listen as the arrows went by. They can be quite loud in flight, much more than the shot of the bow. Especially if there's anything out of tune or even a slightly loose or torn vane.
