How many Trad Archers here?

I gave my wheel bow to my son the day after my archery elk season ended and picked up a recurve. I wanted a full year to become proficient before hunting with it. I am proficient and cannot wait to hunt with it.

I got the itch real bad this year! In the past I hunted with em for 12 years straight and took a few elk and 6 deer. My biggest deer have been shot with longbows. Switched back to wheels 8 years ago because I was not able to practice. This year, I moved, and have been shooting all summer and have never shot better. Definitely taking it with me Friday to an area I have never hunted, if the shots are limited to 30 yards, I will use it.

WAY more fun. such a renewed vigor for shooting. I've spent a year shooting my recurve and to see the improvement over that year and know that all the mechanics ARE WITHIN ME.
