Using the EZ fletching jig

So I just picked up a right helical fletching jig and I am getting some inconsistencies with how the vanes are coming out. I am using the 1.8" blazers. The fletching jig is the smaller model but it still has room to place the vanes towards the front of the slot, or the rear. I am doing my best to try to get them at the same placement as my other arrows. Is this going to have a negative impact on my arrow flight, groupings, and broad head tuning? I feel like this is a stupid question but I am also wondering if anyone else is experiencing this as well. Thank you.

82: I would shoot a few of those in various wind conditions as well as long range. I purchased one of those myself. Never was happy with that fletching tool. I spent the money for the Benziger. Done deal. Perfect adjusting it max. Helical for our Blazers....you have to be confident in your setup. Shoot some see what your results turn out to be. We like our vanes in the same spot as factory fletched arrows haven't actually seen or talked to anyone that is experiencing your issue. If your arrows shoot well you have your answer. If you are a perfectionist and can't get them to factory specs. I would look for a different fletching tool.

Good luck and PM me your results after you shoot a bunch. I would like to know how those arrows fly in various conditions besides calm wind.

Thanks for your response, I really appreciate it. I went with that fletching tool because thats what the guys at the archery shop use to make my vanes helical. I have always had good groups out to 100 yards when they did it for me. I actually found what I was doing wrong in my set up. I was not seating the arrow knock all the way into the jig, that is why I was inconsistent. After embarrassing myself I was able to get them all on right. I just need to get a little less messy with the glue.

Yeh that will do it alright. I guess when I used that rig. I used to much glue myself. Glad you got it right now. Sounds like your good to go.

Have a great 2015 hunting season.

No I am not. I am in New Mexico, not sure where your at. My handle is from when I was in the Army. I was in the 82nd Airborne, and my battalion was called the Red Devils. So I imagine there are a few guys out there that could carry that handle for something else.

Good luck to you as well in 2015 hunts!

Yeh 82 I know the group, I was USMC. One of your guys painted your groups name on some huge rocks west bound I-80 at the Utah, Nev. border. At Wendover, NV.
