My practice arrows Warrior 400, 8.2 gpi 100% carbon, are starting to show some wear one has a noticeable gouge and one has a strip of carbon peeling away from the rest of the shaft. Any ideas on when they need replaced? Someone once told me any damage to the shafts means it needs replaced just wondering if that is true.

Give the arrow a bend. If ya hear any cracking or of carbon peels up its time to ditch them. You don't want a carbon to blow up on ya.

7mm sounds like those carbon arrow are failing that's for sure. Hope you get some informational responses from experts that shoot carbon arrows quickly. I wouldn't use those you have mentioned anymore for safety reasons IMO. I had a guy tell me one time that there is some type of bending test one should do periodically on carbon arrows. We shoot Easton full metal jackets and unless we do something real bad they last forever. Still shooting our practice arrows purchased 6 years ago. They are expensive but worth every penny...hit real hard those bad boys....

Good luck.....but it seems it's time to consider popping for another dozen or two of your favorite arrows.? to be cautious ......

Know a guy that had one catastrophically fail, shaft splintered and went thru his bow hand. Couldn't shoot for 6 months while his hand healed. Replace em.

Thanks for the replies. I did the bend test on all of them about half failed so doing some arrow shopping this weekend.

Buy a good quality arrow. Never heard of what you are currently shooting. But regardless of what brand you choose always check them after every shot.
