Any Longbow Shooters Lurking?

I'm a bit curious as to what type of shooting range do you have? What about arrow speed? What kind of draw hold weight?

I know nothing about it. Would love to hear from those who hunt with a longbow. Do you have success often?

I hunted 12 years straight with longbows, killed my biggest deer and few cow elk with em. 54@29, still shoot that weight in recurves. Longest shots were on the elk,32 yards, 525gr arrows. Switched back to wheels about 10 years ago because I wasn't able to practice enough.

Now, I shoot recurves all year round, weather permitting, and always toy with the idea of hunting with them again. Effective range presently is 35 yards, 580gr arrows, 54@29, about 184fps. Much more fun than a wheel bow.

Shooting is my problem. I just have too many hobbies and end up not shooting enough as it is.
