The question of the day ... what sight setup are you using on your bow?

My wife is going to be wanting to upgrade soon, I just know it. I was just looking at the sights available at Black Ovis.

I use a 3 pin Sure-loc. I like it. Not cheap though for sure.

What are you all using that works well?

I used to use a Sure-loc single pin, but switched last year to the Spot Hogg Hogg Father. I liked the Sure-loc, but it was a little bit more of a target sight as opposed to a hunting sight. I was a little leery of the overall design in that I am extremely rough on my equipment. What made me switch was the day the horizontal axis kept coming loose.

Not that the Hogg Father can't fail too, but I am way happier with the perceived ruggedness of the sight.

After my boy drew a archery elk tag in 2011. We are now setting up another bow for a archery elk hunt this year. Boy have things changed since 2011. We general set up two bow so we always have a back up. Luckily we have a great bow shop in our town. The bow sight we are using is a Black Gold Ascent 5 pin . It has five pins, but it is also adjustable. It is working good for us.

CBE Hybrid Tek Pro. I put it on last year, really like it so far. Durable and well built it seems. Only problems I see is I've run out of travel past 80 yds, and the engraved yardage plates aren't tight enough for what I'm shooting.

Montana Black Gold Ascent sight......bullet proof and best warranty on the market.

I have an Axcel Vision 5 pin. It meets all my needs and has been very durable. A buddy is a dealer for Montana Black Gold and shoots the Ascent 5 pin. He is deadly accurate out to 100, way beyond my capabilities. If you want a MBG sight, shoot me a PM and I'll put you two in touch. His prices can't be beat.

Hell yea on Montana Black Gold Ascent. I love mine!

No experience with it yet, but I am in the process of setting up my new bow with the MBG Ascent Verdict single pin (green 0.010").

Of the various sights I researched and played with, it impressed me the most...and the price is reasonable.
