SLC archery shops

Since moving back to Utah, the only archery shop I had been to was Full Draw, which is now closed.

In your opinion...which of the small number of shops in the SLC area would you recommend for customer service (i.e., repairs/maintenance on bows, etc.)

I make the trip down to Jake's in Orem. Knowledgeable AND friendly staff. They want to help and I'll be giving them all my business.

Utah archery center was good until they closed down and were replaced by Humphreys. Went there to get help with a tune job and the guy was a whack job. Bragging about a 114 yd shot he took on a buck and talking down to me because I didn't have the newest, fastest bow available. Not a good way to run a business if you ask me.

Heard great things about Wilde arrow up north but also had a bad experience there.

Then there's the grumpy old man that runs salt lake archery...

I'd highly recommend Jake's, well worth the drive!

I've also had bad experiences at Humphreys. I took my bow for a tune up, after the first shot my sight fell off. When I told them about it they acted like it was my problem. I can't handle the level of arrogance at that shop.

Jakes in Orem is absolutely worth the trip.

Ziis shop in bluffdale also seems good. Great guys there and great customer service in the shop. But I have only shot at the range, never had them work on my bow.

I'll tell you who it was . . . it was that D@MN Sasquatch!

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the replies. I ended up taking my bow to Ziis. Was a little closer of a drive, and figured I'd try them out since they are new. Still need to go pick up my bow, but so far they have been very friendly and responsive. We'll see how well the bow works.
