After not recovering a buck i shot monday it makes me reconsider my broadhead.Due to major shoulder surgery i can only shoot about 52 lbs.out of my ZXT mathews.Thinking about going to a fixed blade.I thought i had made a good shot on a nice buck but after 2 days have been unable to recover him.Not blaming my current head just thinking of different options. If shooting a fixed what would you recommend?thanks

Sorry to hear about not recovering your deer.....it happens. My experience and opinion is that shot placement and/or amount of penetration is more to blame than anything else. If you run a field point through both lungs the deer will expire. However, if you're wanting a fixed blade head you have MANY options. Wac'em, Slick Tricks, G5's, Muzzy, VPA, Wasp, Magnus, Shuttle T's, are just a few quality heads that fly well. In my testing, Wac'em flew the best, with ST as a close second. All of these will perform well out of a 52 pound bow.

Thanks for the reply.Nothing more frustrating. The shame of it is I thought i made a good shot, but in low light my 54 year old eyes might have deceived me.I am thinking about the shuttle t's.thanks again.

>BOHNTR: when you say ST are
>you refering to shuttle T's
>or Slick Tricks?
