Good Single Pin or Multi Pin Slider Site

I've been considering getting a new site for my bow this year. I have been checking out the single pin sliders, also have seen a few that are a three to five pin with a floater pin. Just looking for some information and people's thoughts on these types of sights and ones that are a reasonable price. Thanks.

HHA has a couple quality single pin sights that are extremely accurate. ( other brands have nice sights too) Personally, I shoot a single pin much more effectively then multiple set pins. I also hunt game in areas( such as the high country) that may require long range shooting. The down side is if your hunting elk or whitetails for example, and they are 40 yds or less and moving quickly you may not have time to adjust your sight. For me I Leave my pin set at 30yds( there is very little difference from 0 to 30yds) and if the animal is at 40 yds I know I need to compensate 5 inches. ( I practice this often). If the animal is more then 40yds I personally wouldn't rush the shot if need be from an ethical standpoint. Again, a single pin advantage is best used for long range shooting in my opinion.

A single pin also lets you dial the exact yardage.... however I have not shot the 3 to 5 pin sights with a floater so I don't know if they have exact yardage at long range.

I am now shooting the Black Gold Ascent verdict single-pin (.010" green) with a 4" dovetail. So far this has been a great sight that I think is also reasonably priced at around $250.

I have not had a lot of field experience with it yet, but I walk around with mine set at 40 yards.

My hunting buddy went single pin a few years aho, and it has worked out really well for him, improving both his longer range accuracy and focus on the shot in hunting situations.

Sliders IMO are the way to go. Either it be a single pin or multi pin. Having the ability to dial the exact range is nice. It makes things easier as you could imagine.

I personally shoot a 3 pin slider. Pins set at 30,40, and 50. I do not have to make any movements on any shot out to 50 yards. But can dial forward or backwards if needed. The longer shots are where the slider really shines.
SpottHogg, CBE, Black Gold, Axcel and Sword all make good to great sights.

So I just ordered the 5 pin Tommy Hogg from Spot Hogg. I went with the floating pin because 99% of my shots are going to be from 50 yards or closer. I really only got the floater for 3d shoots. I can set the bottom pin at 60 and the rest will be fine for the majority of my shooting and all of my hunting. My $.02.

This last year I wasn't exactly sure if I wanted a single pin slider or multiple pins with a slider so I ended up going with the Trophy taker option 8. If you haven't looked into that set up, definitely check it out. If gives you the best of both worlds. I absolutely love it. Sometimes situations are best to have a couple pins like for elk when they can cover 40 yards to within 10 yards in no time or if you know what your shots are going to be you can shoot your single pin. You can customize the amount of pins that you want with it. Good luck.
