LAST EDITED ON Apr-05-17 AT 02:29PM (MST)[p]I recently upgraded my sight as well. I shot a fixed 6 pin but wanted to extend my range for practice. I decided to go with the MBG Ascent Verdict in the 3-pin. So far, I'm loving this sight. Really reduced pin clutter, and I basically have a fixed sight good to 40ish which is perfect for my style of hunting and comfort. The pins are super bright and the construction is top notch. If I were to have gone a different route, it would have been Spot Hogg, they are just heavier.
EDIT: The verdict is a slider. So pick a pin you want to use as a rover, and you can dial that pin into the exact yardage. Most use their bottom pin, I'm using the middle pin as my rover so that I have a top and bottom reference.
I was tempted by the Option, but there were a few things I didn't like: 1. That pivoting head on a sight - I'm rough on gear and don't want to have something fail. 2. Pins - tubed pins are delicate, again rough on gear. Also heard complaints about pin brightness. 3. Price - couldn't justify it.
Through all my research, I'd recommend either a MBG or Spot Hogg. I also came across a lot of good reviews for HHA and CBE. Good luck out there!
