LAST EDITED ON May-19-17 AT 06:58PM (MST)[p]Anyone have experience with the Ruckus that can recommend arrows?

We recently bumped the draw length up to notch #6 (can't remember the length in inches at this moment) on my son's bow. His weight is set at 42 lbs. He needs some new arrows due to damaging a few so we're looking around. Not to mention, the Beman ICS that we got with the bow say they're rated for 40lb MAX.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks

At that draw weight you're going to have a lot of options. Without looking at a chart I'm betting you're going to be needing around a 600 spine. Again, lots of options there. This will get you out of the "kid arrows" and into adult arrow selections. Are you looking for high end target arrows, hunting arrows, rough and tough beat'm up arrows?

I bet you'll really like those arrows. Learn from my mistake and cut them a couple inches long so you don't have to buy new ones by the end of the summer. Darn kids grow so fast!!

In case anyone was following I thought I'd update:

So we ended up cutting the Hunter XT 500's at 26" (1") longer than needed to allow room for growth. Installed factory inserts and 100gr field tips. That put the arrows at 318gr total with 13.3% FOC

They're shooting really well for him and we haven't had to make any adjustments yet. He's still just shooting at 30yds so we'll see...
