I've shot horizontal pin and vertical. I would say i prefer the latter.
Regardless, what sight brand/model do you folks really like?

Uswd to shoot a vertical 5 -pin by Trophy Ridge.

Now I have a Black Gold Ascent Verdict w/ 0.010" single pin. Mine is on a 4" dovetail mount.

We upgraded to the Blackgold ,PURE, 5pin and the bottom pin dials up to 100yds. The archery shop weighs he arrow and we shoot it through a chronograph to get the ft/sec. a program calculates the pin placement and past 60yds a tap with yardage out to 100yds can be dialed in using the bottom pin. We had the sights custom made t the factory .10 green , green, red, green green. Best in all light conditions. I guess if you sit in a tree stand and have a lot of time to range, turn your dial to that range a single pin works. But where we hunt lots of quick shots so having pins dialed in from 20?60yds is what workd best for us.

Spott Hog Fast Eddie XL two pin sight. Leave the top pin set @ 50. The other defaults to 62. Shot an elk at 20 and a deer at 63 this year. Never touched the sight (for anything between 8-45yds I aim 12" low and hit kill zone).
