Anyone shooting injexion with a stainless steel outsert? I'm thinking about trying them and getting the ss outserts you can get for victory vap arrows. Does anyone know if those outserts will even work? I am currently shooting easton fmj's and want the weight for penetration but want to switch to micro diameter. I thought about the fmj injexion arrows but they are hard to find.

Easton has recently come out with a SS outsert of their own for the injections. 57grns i think and tough from the sounds of it, I'm thinking about going with that setup myself!

LAST EDITED ON May-08-18 AT 09:24PM (MST)[p]I would stay away from the Victory SS outserts.

I had a dozen 250 spine vaps with their SS outserts and had an extreme issues with the arrow breaking approximately 1/2" behind the outsert. After the first dozen, I bought some firenock outserts and they held up extremely well. I shoot 20 to 30 times a day out to 100 yards so I miss the target a bit and the firenocks held up much better. Downfall of firenocks is they are a little hard to pull out of target and I had a shop install them and some pulled off when pulling out of 3d targets. I got some super glue and re-glued them all and it fixed the issue.

The firenocks that I had were 32 grain (vary a little be size).

They are called AeroOutsert - https://www.firenock.com/aerocomponents/#aerooutsert

I am now shooting Victory RIP XV (300's) with victory's newer Aluminum insert/outserts. I was going to order some firenock outserts for them but figured I would give the AL victory's a try and so far so good. With 125 points, my FOC is 15% and I can push the arrow to 300fps.

Yea I had my local shop build 12 victory vap tko with victories stainless steel outsert up front. They looked great but I ended up finding out they were way over spined for my set up and my broadhead was consistently shooting way left of the bullseye everytime. I have never had to broadhead tune my bow so i decided not to mess with these arrows and sell them. I just bought 6 fmj injexions from lancaster and gonna build them with some blazer vanes with a right helical and since they are the full metal jackets I probably won't run an outsert just use the deep six with a 100 grain full metal jacket as usual. They should have plenty of ke being full metal jackets and I'm not sure if an outsert would even work with them anyways like it does with the carbon injexions. Cant wait until they get here.
