2006 Halibut Trip

Here are some pictures I received this morning from a MM'er who just returned from what looks like a very successful fishing trip. Great pictures and the son's Halibut was 140 lb and a 50 lb. His mother caught the 110 lb one.

I spent 7 summers in southeast Alaska. Commercially fished as a way to pay for my post high school education. Petersburg was right next to Wrangell, the Island I stayed at. Yes fishing is great up there especially Halibut. The biggest Halibut we ever caught was 327 lbs. 7'10' long and it's cheeks weighed 6 lbs.
