Perfect timing Drake! The rivers should be full of Sockeyes and late run Kings! You will have a blast!

Drake, you will definately have fun. It appears the Kenai is having a larger than normal run of Kings this year and the Russian has been giving up easy limits. As a displaced Alaskan, I envy you about now. Be careful at the Russian. They had closed it down a short while back due to the number of bears hanging around the river. Take a lot of pictures for us.

Take care and have a safe, enjoyable trip.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-13-06 AT 10:19PM (MST)[p]My hunting friend is leaving tomorrow early for Alaska fishing. He along with two son's and another father-son are going to be up there for 10 days fishing on the Kenai and other places too.

Bob's always dream of this and his son paid for him to go, since he has been taking Radiation treatment for Prostrat Cancer and looks like he has it beaten. Hope that he gets some nice fish. I showed him a 65# King I have here that belongs to my step-brother and he was overjoyed to see something like that. I told his son to get pictures so I can see them later, so with luck, I hope that he does take pics and I will post later.
HH has spoke with my friend when they were both fishing up on the Mad River earlier this year.
