Did I forget to pack anything for a 20 day self guided Yukon Moose hunt? Last float plane trip to boat launch sight allows for 100lbs per person gear, pilot said more is ok (w/just 2 passengers) Preshipped food/hunting gear and camping gear (supplied by transporter) will already be packed in boat we will take on hunt and will not have to be flown in.

thats a lot of stuff, seems like you have a handle on it. Good luck on your hunt.

Things you forgot:

* Kitchen sink (JK)
* Mosquito headnet (not essential, but very nice)
* Good cigar
* Reading Mat'l

Things I question:

* Glock .40 (Bear protection?) Not my first, second, or third choice on a sidearm. I'd go .44 mag, minimum.

The Glock is just for a peice of mind mostly. I have always packed a sidearm in the hills, and pretty much everywhere else I go, but not just for bear protection. I have met more "shady" people in the hills than I ever have bears. I have never HAD to discharge it in the field for protection, although it has been fired a time or two to locate a partner, let somone know that there is a human in the line of fire if they get to shooting your direction at game or whatever (and didnt know anyone was there, or didnt care.) Once in a blue moon I will run in to a goofy skunk or coyote that looks sicker than heck and isnt scared of humans I will put down.
I packed a full sized Glock 45acp for 10 years and shot maybe 3 clips through it. Got tired of the weight so I bought the tiniest (lighest) Glock I could find. A few ounces and the size makes a BIG difference.
It may not be the best for bear stopping power but I can assure you Ill go down in "a blaze of glory"

life IS good (even when your "gun" is small)

Forgot the Cigars, what was I thinkin? I have a couple good ones I picked up in Mexico last year.
