What a brute! Congrats are in order! It's hard to tell if you are fishing or hunting.....the chest waders! How long did it take to land him?

UNIT 21E, great unit, but now it closes on the 20th of Sept instead of the 25th. Those 5 days can be very important with rutting activity.

Steve-I was hunting AND fishing! I couldnt have made it without the chest waders, lightweight, TOUGH and easy to wear. That was my favorite peice of "gear" I brought on the trip. Hodgeman lightweight, breathable... HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!

Got this guy on day ten, although I did foolishly pass on one the first evening. The shallow moving water worked out awesome to process him. Hes a nice representation of an Alaskan-Yukon. Thanks for the compliments.

That's a beautiful bull! I'm really wanting to get up there and do that myself. Would like to do an un-guided drop camp. If you've already posted this info I apologize, but I've got a few questions. Was this a guided hunt? Did you fly in, drop camp, float trip? Thanks for the pics and post. Scott/couesbitten

Non guided, rented equip from a reputable transporter. Having a boat with motor was great as opposed to being at the mercy of the current (with a raft) If you would like more info. PM, Id be glad to share.

Nice bull! I booked a non-guided pack-in hunt on the Kenai Penninsula for 2008. Looking at that picture makes my blood boil. That is just an awsome picture.

That is a great bull. I'll be going next year with Vinihunt for my second round of moose hunting. Trying to correct all my mistakes from the first trip so I can make all new ones. Again, congrats on a fine trophy.
