I'm headed up to AK for kings in July and need some info or suggestions on some good guides for kings on the Kenai river. thanks, nmbighorn

I had several friends that lived in Eagle River Alaska for years.
Every summer they would fish the Kenai with the Fenton Brothers.
Absolutley First Class.

I second what hunterharry said, Mike and Murry Fenton are good friends of mine and they are top notch guides. I was a guide on the Kenai for awhile and have fished with them on Kenai off days in July.

Both are great guides! You should have booked your guide months ago most of the good guide are booked. Try two book at least two full day if you want the best chance to catch a 50lb+ king

Gary Kernan Fish On Charters Gary catches as many fish as anyone and a lot of big fish he also has a lot of repeat customers so you might want to book early. I would recommend you look at a tide book try to stay away from the really big tides although the guides will move up the river and try to catch older fish. Some of the bigger guides here just seem to be more concerned about the almighty dollar and not their clients as they can always get more. I live on the river and see this all the time. Plus I have my own boat so I'm not touting one guide over another because thats who I use. There are many good guides on the river but many are just here for the money.
