Incredible AK Bear Pic

Altho I did not take this picture, it was taken by a friend of a friend and i am sharing it with all of you because it is truly awesome.

You will see there are polar AND grizzly bears feeding on both the whale carcass and the bone pile in the background.

The picture was taken last Fall at a remote location on Alaska's North Slope. I will be fortunate enough to visit this site myself this summer, altho at that time of the year I expect the polar bears to be absent.

Neat photo!
Those look like some bruiser brownies.
Long necks, heads look small compared to body, etc...

I posted this pic on another forum and they are saying that it is a photshop and that the photo is fake.

Anyway i can prove them wrong.

Not trying to be negitive, and I can believe the Polar bears but those brownies look alittle big for that part of Ak.

I agree, but definetly an honest mistake. I see a couple polar bears smeared in rotten whale, but I can't make out a griz in that picture. Too far north to be brown bear, so it would have to be a griz if there was one.
