Mechanicals in AK

Are mechanical broadheads legal in AK? Has anyone used them / recommend them for moose? They've always shot better for me and I feel more confident shooting them. Confidence to me is more important to me than the off chance that a blade breaks on bigger bone - Blades break on little whitetail bones as well. Any suggestions?

Mechanicals are illegal to use on moose in Alaska. You can only use them on deer,wolf,wolverine,black bear,dall sheep and caribou.
