I flew into the Wood River area last August. We came across about 6 moose sheds, and 1 broomed ram horn my guide found in a creek. There were caribou around, but we didn't find any sheds.
I did a fly-in hunt northwest of Iliamna a few years ago and one in the Wrangells this year. We saw a couple set of caribou horns from predator kills each trip but no sheds. Saw a couple moose sheds this last trip. It really depends on if you are hunting in areas they shed in. That is often not the case with caribou since you often are hunting the migration.
