Well me and the wife have a trip planed out. so far all we know is we are headed to anchorage may 20th to the 25th. and we would like to go out and catch some halibut. Any suggestions would be great thanks

Head down to Homer. I have been with TNT Adventures a couple of times and we have limited out each time. I was fortunate and caught a 150lb Halibut last year. I have been in July and August but never in May. Let me know if you want any further info and I can pass along what I know.

I've fished out of Ninilchik twice, with two different charters, very good success both times. PM me and I will give you more info if your interested.

Thanks

One question did you guys just show up and take a charter or did you make reservations first

I had made arrangements before I ever arrived. You can find charters that can take you same day or following day but I wanted to specifically go with TNT.

for halibut either seward or homer would be your best bet. get on-line, find a charter service, make the call, and reserve your spots. fish will average smaller early (May/June) in the season than later (July/August), but any halibut is a good halibut :)

btw, kings will begin trickling into ship creek downtown at that time, so spend a couple hours and take your wife to the bridge and try and spot a few.

good luck and have fun!

Sorry forgot about this post

Anyway I went with Bobs trophy charters and fish with josh on the "Huntress"
