Here is a view of the bay where we stayed at on prince whales alaska

This is a photo I took when I got stuck on the mountain and had to hike down to find help. But it was one hell of a sunset

Like I said stuck on the mountain and this is all we had to stay warm

I really did not want to post this picture as I am sure the owner of the suburban will see this. But all I can say is sorry suburban shifted sideways and the road gave out NO damage just a $550 tow bill from tiney towing and his strange tow truck

Here is one of the best places I had seen on the island and there is a lot of great places

a few flowers that caught my eye. Indian paint brush???

And these dang things are all over the place. once they see you they would just lay down and try to hide


This trip was very fun but nothing like last years bear hunt we just could not find any really good bears and infact had a hard time finding any bears. But I do want to do this again but next time I will rent a big boat or take a boat up there...

Sorry about no bears, but then any trip to Alaska is very special, IMO. Thanks for sharing the great photos.

Here are a few from the trip a week earlier
this is the boat we fished on the captain was funny freindly and I think he had a very good idea of where the fish where at.

here are some halibut we caught this was the best days out


here is a Irish lord that we caught kinda cool looking fish for being so dam ugly


This guy or gal came to shore right next to the place we was staying at. I later seen the fish and game come pick him up and was told that it was probably hit by a boat and that is why it let us get so close but he should be fine in a few days..

this guy would just wait till someone would come clean some fish and then he would still the leftovers

This was in a bar off the spit in Homer called the salty dog. kinda like a old shack they serve beer in but WOW everywhere was posted in doller bills with names on them kinda a cool tavern (sorry photo is blurred)

this is the last thing I would have thought I would see in alaska

and this is one of the top 5 things you do not want to see in alaska

Thats a true to life bar photo, toward the end of the night.

Good times.

I made the trip to Homer last year and bear hunted and halibut fished from a boat. Can't wait to go back soon with my 10 yr old son next time.
