Hunting trip for me/prospecting for the wife? Possible?

Hunting trip for me/prospecting for the wife? Possible?
I been wanting to go to Alaska for a bit to hunt almost any big game but I want my wife to go and have fun. She ain't a hunter but really likes to dig for stuff and she wants to do a prospecting trip. Is there anyway to do this or would it be impossible? She is a teacher and is off all summer and I can take off anytime i wish.

There may be some opportunities for that, but the best bet would be touring the old mining operations in the area. I guide in unit 6 & 13, & the Kennecott Mine is not far & well worth the visit!

I'm contemplating doing the same thing,but taking a small gold dredge or hooking up with a friend who will be working on the forty mile. Then I'd like to do a diy hunt if possible.
For your wife I'd suggest investigating the GPAA or the Lost Dutchmen Mining Clubs if she is interested in digging for gold.
