Sitka blacktails

I am looking for some help and advice. I want to plan a trip to Alaska for blacktails. I want to do a DIY hunt, or a semi-guided hunt. I have been up there for caribou and need to get back up there. I can't choose between POW or Kodiak. I believe POW has more access. I am leaning towards an area of quantity rather than quality. I am thinking of an early archery hunt. I am looking for suggestions and options. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

Lots of options listed. If it were me I'd do a DIY bowhunting trip somewhere on the south end of Kodiak in late August for at least 10 days. You'll have quantity and quality... and bears. Fun, fun, fun... Ed F

POW is a much easier archery hunt.

Was watching a show on TV that did a Kodiak archery hunt. The guy came away empty handed.

We have some trees for cover in Southeast Alaska. I know cuz I'm a 38 yr resident of the area.

What time of the year are you talking about? August?
