Hey I won a hunt this spring for black bear and blacktail deer and was hoping to see some pics of everyone's animals that they have taken in the past.

Ill be hunting by Hoonah on chichagof island

There aren't any black bears near Hoonah on Chichagof Island. There may be a few across the way on the mainland on the Gustavus and Glacier Bay side.

Deer on N. Chichagof got hammered several years back. They are still struggling to come back. Great road hunting near Hoonah. That's about all the local do - just like down south.

Hey thanks for the info im not sure where ill be hunting around the island we will be on a boat most of the time the guide told me his group killed 8 black bear last year there so im hoping they can find me one. As for the blacktail I didnt know that the numbers were down hope i can find me one of them also
