LAST EDITED ON Mar-07-12 AT 08:00PM (MST)[p]I will be in Alaska July 15th thru the 22nd this year with my dad, brother and his son. My Dads been to Alaska a few times the rest of us are first timers. We have a place rented on Sterling Hwy, Sterling Alaska. One mile from the Keeneye and Moose River junction and our flights arranged to Anchorage.
I need to book some day fishing trips for the 4 of us. What can I expect to pay for Kings or Halibut trips? If your a guide or have any suggestions of guides-trips to book. We're ready to book now.
Can't wait!!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

There are lots of great guides available. I have gone with Mark Glassmaker in Soldotna for the past several years. In fact, I am booked with him this year in June.

Most of the guides seem to be charging between 250 & 275 for a full day Kenai King trip.

I believe most Halibut Charters for full days are around $225.

I hope this helps a bit. If you haven't booked your Salmon charters, you should get on it quick as the good dates go fast with the top guides.

Good luck,

+1 regarding Mark Glassmaker. I've been with him and have referred friends to him. He's as honest as they come, which is important when planning a trip. His website contains a ton of useful information.

If you make it to Seward try Randy Wells with Seward Fish Company. He has a great website and you tube channel. We took a combo trip with him last year with everyone not only getting full limits but we had a great time. He also has guides on the Russian and Kasilof rivers for kings and sockeye. When there were no sockeye in the river for the trip we had booked he called us , moved us to a combo trip and held his boat until we could get there from Kenai. Take the time to check him out, its worth it!
