Caribou Hunt Questions

Well, as of yesterday, I am starting to get the ball rolling for a caribou hunt for next Aug. Myself and my father are going to be taking my grandad as a 77th birthday gift. So, now with the questions. I want to take him somewhere where it will be reasonably easy for him to get a crack at a nice bull pretty early in the hunt. The reasoning behind this is that 1.. he absolutely loves to fish and bird hunt and I think he would acually get a bigger kick out of the whole trip catching a ton of fish and shooting ptarmigan all day!!! and 2nd... he had double knee surgery a few years back and he can't quite get around as good as he would like to, so not near as much packing around all day looking for a shootable bull for him.

So, should we be looking into a drop, do-it-yourself hunt or semi outfitted hunt in Alaska or should we be looking into a hunt in Canada?? Personally, I don't want spend 4 or 5 K to be in a camp with ten to fifteen other dudes. I would rather it just be the three of us and maybe a couple of our close family friends camping out for a week and having the times of our lives together hunting and fishing. I want this hunt to special for all of us but ecspecially my grandpa. Is there anywhere where we are going to be able to combine all of these stipulations into the hunt of a lifetime? I am open to all suggestions cuz I can foresee this going to be alot of work for this hunt to become a reality but at the same time, it can and will be done for him. Thank you and hope to hear from all of you with any info....

Do a first rate guided deal so dad doesn't have to work so hard.
You odds of success will be way better and it's ony about $1000 apiece more. Well worth it for a first timer with an older gentleman along.

Try Curly Warren w/ Stoney River Lodge. He'll treat you right and you'll get your game.
