Kodiak deer numbers...is it bad this year?

Curious is anyone has any first hand knowledge of deer numbers on Kodiak this year. I am considering a hunt in the Olga Bay area for fall of 2013 but would be willing to put it off until 2014 if I thought it might make a difference in the quality of the hunt (I'd certainly like to see lots of animals).

Please post a report if you've been out chasing the deer in 2012.

call the transporters down there. They'll give you all the information you want to hear. I know a few guys that hunted this fall, they all got deer, but didn't see a lot.

I think the southern part of Kodiak fared okay.

hey man i was down there in olga last year with 5 of my buddies for a week we killed 8 bucks 3 good ones, it was my first time there and was told the numbers were way down we hiked our butts off and saw around an average of 20-30 deer a day. my buddy was there 2 years ago and said they would see 200 a day and they all got great bucks, so if it was me i'd wait atleast 1 more year before u go.
